On Tuesday, 24 March 2026, at 6:00 p.m. (CET), we look forward to welcoming Dr. Hugh Busher, a former Associate Professor at the University of Leicester, UK, who was a member of the European Conference on Educational Research (ECER) and of the British Educational Research Association (BERA).

In his lecture “ Ethics of Educational Research: An agenda for discussion ”, Dr. Busher will address key ethical questions in educational research. He will reflect on why ethical frameworks are essential for the quality and credibility of research and will discuss important issues such as informed consent, the protection of participants from harm, researchers’ moral responsibility, confidentiality, and data protection.

In his presentation, Dr. Busher will also highlight how ethical considerations arise at every stage of a research project and why particular care is needed when working with vulnerable groups or sensitive topics. The lecture will provide valuable impulses for researchers, educators, and all those interested in responsible and reflective research practice.
