Danube Guides are specially trained to present the Danube region as an adventure space tovarious target groups in an exciting, sustainableand environmentally conscious way. What makes them so unique is their extensive knowledge of the interactions between humans and the environment, sustainable development, ecosystems, social trends and much more. Aside from that, theyhave the ability to pass on this knowledge through fresh methods and communication channels. In seven countries of the extended Danube region, the Danube Guides offer a variety of individual tours and give insights into the unique nature, culture, and history along the second largest river in Europe. By means of gentle tourism and using progres-sive didactic methods, the Danube Guides offers are not only of a touristic nature, they raise awareness of how important environmental protection is and thus, contribute to it in the long run.

“Danube Guides Action” is a project implemented by the Danube Office Ulm/Neu-Ulm and funded by the State Ministry of Baden-Württemberg.

During our online event Elena Goerttler-Reck and Almut Sedlmeier will present the project and its possibilities.
