Our current Projects
Ukrainehilfe „разом в ульмі“ /Ukrainehilfe “Together in the Ulm”

ILEU e.V. engages in its daily work with people of all origins and ages – only in mutual cooperation can a peaceful life in solidarity succeed.
Since the beginning of the war of aggression against Ukraine in violation of international law, ILEU e.V., together with other organisers, associations, companies and numerous volunteers, has been committed to helping refugees from Ukraine. Already in the first days of the war, people from Ulm and the surrounding area have shown themselves to be incredibly helpful and committed. Together with our partners, we from ILEU e.V. set a sign against war, against hatred and discrimination.
ViMA ulm

ViMA – Virtuell.Mitmachen.Aktiv (Virtual.Participate.Active) in Ulm, is an open, multifunctional online platform that is intended to become a digital meeting place for citizens of Ulm. The forum offers the possibility of a search-bid function, discussion forums, information exchange on areas of interest, current news and more. The aim is to give citizens the opportunity to exchange ideas and make contacts in a protected space.
ViMA danube

In addition to VIMA-Ulm, the ViMA Danube platform was created, which gives people from different Danube countries the opportunity to communicate with each other via machine translation in English and the Danube languages. The Ukrainian language currently plays a major role, which helps the people arriving from Ukraine and the many helpers to overcome language difficulties. The site was presented to the public at the International Danube Festival 2022.
Fit for Participation

Democracy is a strong value and the background of our common work – to make it work, an engaged civil society is needed. In the new project ‘Fit for participation for strengthening democracy’ ILEU e.V. invites interested people from the Danube Region and beyond to reflect together about what we can do to support and maintain Democracy.
The project is starting in January 2025 focuses on exploring existing initiatives and good practices that promote participation in a society, combined with training programs and the development of new ideas.
Fit for Participation is funded by the State Ministry of Baden-Württemberg (Germany)
“Buch der Geschichten Ukraine”

A group of Ukrainian volunteers, supported by ILEU and Carmen Stadelhofer, decided to create a special place – a website with stories from Ukrainians:
We want to tell the world who we are, how and why we came here and what a difficult path we have traveled. Many people don’t know what we went through to come to Germany and how we are trying to build a new life here. Each of our stories is a journey of integration, full of challenges, pain, hope and great effort.
